The company can look back on a 175-year history. The Wacker Neuson Group in its present form was created in 2007 by the merger of Wacker Construction Equipment AG and Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG. Weidemann GmbH was acquired in 2005 by Wacker Construction Equipment AG, Kramer-Werke GmbH in 2001 by Neuson Baumaschinen GmbH. On 18 February 2009, the company will be transformed into a European public limited company (Societas Europaea) named Wacker Neuson SE.
