Building colors

For buildings of Wacker Neuson a neutral color scheme is to be used, which means a reduced and decent coloring. The below listed basic colors are not to be supplemented by any further colors such as blue or red.

The use of the CD main color Rape-Yellow 1021 outside of buildings is reserved for corporate signs and thus for branding purposes and brand identification only. Further outdoor applications are not provided and would distract from the branding.

To create accents in the exterior the use of the different gray tones for windows and entrance doors in traffic gray 7043 is recommended.

Signage

The Wacker Neuson signage concept consists of the following components: signage for identification, distance recognition, route guidance, information transfer and target identification. In addition to corporate design, the materials and design variants as well as standardized sizes are defined.

Logo and CD color Yellow

On signs which are placed outside of the company's premises or which are used primarily for identification purpose and distance recognition (e.g. monoliths, road signs, flags) the logo whith claim on yellow ground is used. One exception is the facade signage where the logo without claim is used to enhance the legibility.

Signage on the company's premises or inside buildings which is primarily installed for directions or information does not show the logo.

Vertical and square signs

A: yellow area 1/9 of the panel height

B: gray stripe 1/60 of the panel height

X: distance right and left 1/9 of panel width

Y: distance top and bottom 1/9 of panel height

Languages

Locations with international visitors such as the Wacker Neuson production plants are to be equiped with bi-lingual displays and signage - the respective local language and English. If English is the local language, a second language is not required for these locations.

All sales locations are to be equiped with displays and signage in the local language only.

Layout and Spacing

The ratio of the color areas to each other is precisely defined and must be adhered to consistently. The values always refer to the width or height of the respective element. The design is always the same, except for full-area yellow elements in the extreme horizontal format:

  1. yellow area
  2. grey stripe
  3. white area
  4. grey stripe

Horizontal signs

A: yellow area 1/9 of the sign hight

B: grey stripe 1/60 of the sign hight

X: spacing left and right 1/9 of the sign width

Y: spacing top and bottom 1/9 of the sign hight

Monolith

A: yellow area 1/3 of the total hight

B: grey stripe 1/120 of the total hight

X: spacing left and right 1/9 of the total width

Y: spacing top and bottom 1/13 of the total hight

Full-surface signs

X: spacing left and right 1/12 of the sign width

Y: spacing top and bottom 1/4 of the sign hight

Co-Branding

Within the Wacker Neuson Group, the registered company at each location defines the branding. This also applies to all Wacker Neuson entities. If additional brands are represented at a location, a co-branding approach is used.

The following guidelines apply:

1. Only long-distance branding elements of Wacker Neuson may be installed on the building itself, for example facade signage.

2. On the outdoor premises, third-party logos may be displayed on pylons or signages in the entrance/access area. The following applies: The third-party logo must be clearly subordinate to the Wacker Neuson logo in the brand hierarchy and is presented as an additional product or sales brand at the location. Machines of these brands may also be visibly displayed in the outdoor area.

3. Third-party logos may be displayed in the form of flags exclusively at affiliates with direct sales. The majority of flags must be dedicated to the Wacker Neuson brand (> 50%).

4. All signage for area identification or wayfinding must be designed exclusively in the Wacker Neuson design.

5. Inside the building, the product or sales brand may be presented through POS materials (e.g. posters, displays) as well as through exhibits. Clear segmentation in the presentation must be ensured.

The co-branding guidelines apply both to all additional brands of the Wacker Neuson Group (e.g. Kramer, Weidemann and Enar) and to third-party brands — no distinction is made here. OEM partnerships at production sites are exempt; these are not represented in the site branding.

Exemplary implementations of brand hierarchy

Presentation of one additional product or sales brand, here as discreet signage using frosted glass film in the entrance area.

Exemplary display of two additional product or sales brands on a pylon in the entrance area.

Exception for affiliates with direct sales: Exemplary representation of one additional product or sales brand using a flag. The majority of flags are reserved for the Wacker Neuson brand (<50%).
