Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ's:
Special logos/symbols
May I have a special logo/symbol designed for my area, my project?
The advertising world is overloaded with logos, symbols and special characters. Only a few are really noticed by us and our customers, and most of these are brands we already know, whose products or value propositions we are familiar with. At Wacker Neuson, the focus is therefore on the adequate presentation of the logo - both in internal and external communication. The logo is displayed prominently and with a protective zone. Any special logo, any additional symbol draws attention away from the brand and usually from the actual communication objective. It is therefore much more important to find a concise term or key visual for an area/project/campaign and use it consistently in communication. And yet there are exceptions, which are, however, checked in advance by corporate marketing for meaningfulness and implementation. Symbols, special logos are created exclusively by Corporate Marketing.
Gradient
May I continue to use the gradient as a design element in images or on the yellow surfaces?
Gradient - whether in images or monochrome areas - is no longer used as a design element. Numerous layout elements are available to highlight texts, among other things. If the background on images is too unstable for text details, it must be retouched, e.g. the monochrome sky must be extended, or a substitute or cropped image must be used.
Typescript
May I use the typewriter font or other fonts?
For Wacker Neuson, the Helvetica Neue LT W1G font is used exclusively. If this is not available due to the system, Arial is to be used. The machine font "Wacker Neuson" is only used in very few cases: It is used to represent type designations as well as special options or features (e.g. EW100, DPU90, VDS, Compatec). Other areas of application are not intended.
Campaigns
Why do campaigns partly deviate from the CD?
Corporate design is not created by chance or by the taste of the times, but is part of the brand strategy and reflects the self-image (corporate identity) and the guidelines for action of a brand. The design elements of a corporate design therefore support the strategic development of a brand for many years to come.
Campaigns, on the other hand, are limited in time and are used to place strategic topics, the market launch of new products or services. In addition to the strategic and monetary goals, the primary aim of campaigns is to attract attention. One of the ways in which this is achieved is through a design that differs from standardized specifications but always supports Wacker Neuson's brand values. Campaigns are designed and approved exclusively by Group Marketing.
Magazine
Why does the Wacker Neuson magazine look different?
Magazines such as Wacker Neuson's customer magazine are designed to set the company apart from traditional product communications - both in terms of content and design. Whereas brochures focus on presenting the product and its key features, customer magazines are designed to promote customer loyalty and image transfer. Presenting editorial articles peppered with image-rich pictures in a reader-friendly way is the basis of corporate design for magazines - and this is also the case at Wacker Neuson.
