The new building complex is hometo the holding organization and its operational companies as well as thenew European Research and Development Competence Center for Wacker Neusonlight equipment.The new Group headquarters is the nerve center of the company'sinternational expansion plans. Wacker Neuson has invested a total of aroundEUR 43 million in the new building. Its modern, exposed concrete façade infive different shades of gray clearly reflects the company's constructionindustry ties. The headquarters is located in the north of Munich, close tothe European logistics center in Karlsfeld and the Reichertshofenproduction facility. It is home to Wacker Neuson SE, which was restructuredas a holding company in July 2011, and its new subsidiaries Wacker NeusonVertrieb Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Wacker Neuson Vertrieb Europa GmbH &Co. KG and Wacker Neuson Produktion GmbH & Co. KG.Wacker Neuson has long-standing ties with this site. It was here that thecompany moved into its administration offices in 1955, after purchasing theland. The company did not have any close neighbors in the early days as itwas not until much later that the Olympic Village was built.Today, the new headquarters is a hub from which the Group manages over 30affiliates worldwide and supports 68 sales and service stations in Germany.The office building has 18,500 m2 of total floor space and the adjoiningtesting halls stretch over 5,500 m2. Around 300 employees (globalheadcount: 3,350) currently work in the complex. The buildings have alsobeen designed with future growth in mind, offering capacity for a further350 office workstations. Wacker Neuson intends to capitalize on thisheadroom in the coming years.The integrated Research Center is a particular highlight of the new complexwith its extensive test zone for walk-behind light equipment innovations -for example, breakers and vibratory plates - all destined for globaldistribution. To ensure products are tailored to the needs of differentcustomer groups and market regions, the Research Center collaboratesclosely with Wacker Neuson development sites in the US and Asia as well aswith international sales teams.'This enables us to maintain our position as an innovation leader in thelong term. Even today, over half of Group product revenue stems fromproducts that are less than five years old. We will be increasing thisshare over the coming years,' confirms CEO Cem Peksaglam. Open areas, roof terraces andoutside seating can also be used for breaks, meetings and events.Underground parking for 158 cars together with a visitor parking lot andadditional employee parking spaces cover current mobility needs.The Group's headquarters also integrates the latest technological andenergy-efficiency developments. The highly efficient, insulated building iskept warm by district heating and the majority of offices are naturallyventilated. Where ventilation systems are unavoidable, the heat from theoutlet air is captured and reused. Rooms are cooled via ceiling panelswithout the need for mechanical circulation. Groundwater from the company'sown spring is used for cooling; and heating and cooling can be setindividually in every room. An extensive green roof development complementsthis energy-efficient design, ensuring a pleasant working environment.'However, we must not forget that it takes a lot more than technology tocreate a good atmosphere,' states Cem Peksaglam. 'Each and every one of uswho works here will make an active contribution to the success of thisarchitectural and functional landmark.'For fiscal 2011, Wacker Neuson expects Group revenue to total EUR 930million (previous year: EUR 757.9 million), the upper end of its previousforecast (EUR 910 to 930 million) and the EBITDA margin to reach between 13and 14 percent (previous year: 10.3 percent).
