Wacker Neuson Group continues to expand its international reach in the Far East

Munich-based international light and compact equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson continues to drive forward its international expansion in the Far East. By partnering with the manufacturer Everdigm, the Group has gained a leading sales partner for South Korea. The two companies will appear together for the first time at CONEX KOREA, the largest construction equipment exhibition in the region, which starts on May 24, 2017.

Sales collaboration in Korea for the construction sector
Wacker Neuson has teamed up with an experienced distribution partner for compact equipment under the Wacker Neuson brand in South Korea. Listed on the Korean stock exchange (KOSDAQ), the Everdigm Corporation is a local market leader for concrete pumps and attachments, also manufacturing construction equipment, mining equipment and special-purpose vehicles. The sales alliance will initially focus on Wacker Neuson wheel loaders, gradually expanding to include excavators and other compact equipment at a later date. “As the fourth largest construction equipment market in Asia, South Korea is an important strategic country for us. In addition, high customer expectations around quality make it the ideal target market for our equipment. Everdigm is a highly qualified, very experienced sales partner in South Korea who will help us strengthen our position in this mature growth market,” explains Cem Peksaglam, CEO of Wacker Neuson.

Everdigm will be showcasing the first Wacker Neuson products at the country’s largest construction equipment trade fair, CONEX KOREA, in Goyang from May 24 through 27, 2017. Everdigm’s headquarters is located close to the South Korean capital of Seoul and features a large sales and exhibition space dedicated to the Wacker Neuson brand. “We are delighted to represent one of the world’s top construction equipment brands in Korea,” explains Bernard Jeon, CEO of Everdigm. “Wacker Neuson’s products are an excellent complement to our own portfolio of construction equipment and will benefit from Everdigm’s extensive sales and service network.”

In line with its global expansion strategy, the Group is systematically intensifying its sales activities in Asia, for example by collaborating with sales and distribution partners, as well as with market-leading manufacturers operating cross-regional networks. The Group has affiliates in China, Singapore, India, Thailand and the Philippines, and works with representatives in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.
